He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

November is here, the holidays are right around the corner. I am loving the colder temperatures and I am having soup cravings. Can't decide which one to make first. I am thinking of making two of my favorites and alternating eating them for lunch and supper.

I have to share what happened a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if I have said anything about my nightly phone calls. I talk to my mom and my older sister every evening. Since my hours have changed at work, I have been juggling my nightly routine to get those calls in and not having to eat supper so late because I have trouble going to sleep with a full stomach. But I have to eat something to keep my blood sugar level balanced. Well back to my original story. I had put off getting my hair cut till I was having to use my hot rollers to get my unruly hair into some kind of shape. A couple of fridays ago I left work at six and headed to walmart. I knew I could get my hair trimmed without an appointment at their hair salon. Then I decided while I was there I would pick up some stuff that I couldn't get at the grocery store I had been going to since my scheduled changed. I don't like using my weekends going to stores. Just one of my weird quirks that people don't understand about me and I can't explain it. Well, I spend one weekend day with mom and dad and the other day with my son. And usually I am doing mom and dad's shopping. As I said it's hard to explain. And I don't like driving in the dark so that limits me too. I made it home that evening around 8:30 telling myself I would call mom while I was putting my groceries up. My answering machine had six messages something unheard of. Mom and my sister had called because they hadn't talked to me yet and thought something was wrong. Before I had a chance to pick up the phone, it rings and it is my dad. He was upset and glad to hear my voice. I said my lands I had just went to walmart. He says next time call and let them know if I am going to get home late. Wow, you would think at my age I didn't have to report in to my parents anymore.

Oh and my hot water heater quit again so now I have to replace it. I am back to heating water for every thing but now I know it is no big deal. I survived it last time I can do it again.

Dad has sold his truck so I feel he is accepting that his life won't be going back to the way it was before he broke his hip. But with mom never learning to drive it is challenging for us to be their chauffeur. Thank God we haven't had problems getting a schedule worked out for them.

I realize that a lot of days pass between blogs. That is another thing I have trying to work into my crazy new schedule. There is still a lot of kinks to work out.

*******************

Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

Psalm 111:1-4

It seems the most busy people are the ones that get things done. So you should be a whiz at it.

Remember, God does not give us more than we can handle, although it seems like it a lot of the time.
