He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

Six more days and we start a new month. This year is flying by so fast. I am glad fall is finally here.

My hours have changed again. I am now working ten to six. It is really a thirty minute change. I don't understand why the director felt this was necessary but I do what I am told.

Friday was an upsetting day for me. My creepers were having their afternoon snack. The evening office worker came and passed out little bites of sandwich to them. It wasn't much but the kids enjoyed them, saying ummm and reaching for more. They didn't get more of the sandwich, I gave them some cheerios. A little later one of the little girls became fussy and then threw up. I told the office worker and then we took her temperature. She didn't have a fever. Her dad came and we told him about her throwing up. I finished cleaning the room and getting ready to leave. The office worker comes back and tells me the dad said the little girl is allergic to peanuts and the sandwich was peanut butter and jelly and that is why she threw up. He is filing charges and I don't know what is going to happen. There weren't any allergy warnings posted in the room. There is one in the kitchen but the law states one is suppose to be in the room. It was a horrible mistake. We were blessed that she didn't go into anaphylactic shock. If the parents want me gone, I will probably be terminated. The office worker says she is the one who did it but I was responsible for the child too. I haven't been able to think of anything else.

I keep asking why. Why am I troubled so much? What is God wanting of me? I want so much to have less problems with life and to be able to just be happy. Is that what God is trying to show me? And I am not understanding?

******************************

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

Psalms 89:15-18

I second that Mrs. P, however we only see one side of the beautiful work going on. Unfortunately sometimes it is all bad news.

I agree, it would be nice to get a good break once in a while. Keep praying, I do.
