He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

I am back online after eight days. Electricity was reconnected after thirty six hours. I had to keep calling about my cable. I was in the system but for some reason a technician was not being sent out.

Last wednesday a tornado passed over my neighborhood snapping trees. We were lucky; other neighborhoods were destroyed. There are less trees around my house now. When we first built the house it was shaded on three sides and the front yard was in bright sun light. My beautiful red bud tree was brought down this time. The two hurricanes did not bring down as many trees. Thank God my house is still standing. I have contacted a realtor. I am too worn out to live here any more. What my next step will be I don't know. I will pray for direction.

I have had laryngitis since monday. It is a very strange feeling; you open your mouth and move your tongue and lips but you can't make a sound. I have had a sore throat since the 16th. I thought I was doing better and I went to work monday. Tuesday, the 20th, I started running a temperature but when I asked for the supervisor to find a sub for me so I could go home, I was told there wasn't anyone. When I got off of work I didn't feel up to going to the charity hospital and waiting fourteen hours to been seen. That's how long I sat the last time I went. This time I went to the urgent care clinic and was in and out within an hour. I had to pay but I put it on my credit card. I was told again it is a viral infection. My vocal cords are inflamed and I have congestion in my lungs. The doctor gave me a cortisone shot for the laryngitis. They don't give medicine for viral infections unless the infection causes complications; like the last two times it turned into bronchitis.

I have not been back to work since tuesday and the daycare will be closed monday. I hope I have enough sick days paid up and my paycheck will not be too small.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

Mrs. P, did they test for strep? They can't tell by looking. A sore throat with fever sounds bad. Of course a strep throat feels more like the worst sore throat you ever had and you can't swallow.

I'm so glad the tornado missed your home. Sorry about losing the red bud tree.
