He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

I have missed a few days of blogging so I will try and catch up. The newest thing I want to mention is my raise. I got a whole dollar an hour increase. Yea for me!!! I was so excited to see that amount on my pay check. I knew I was getting a raise but I wasn't expecting that much. I was disappointed to find that I lost almost half the increase because taxes got most of it. But I thank God for watching over me and all the blessings he bestows on me.

My son and I went to K's grave site yesterday. It is a three hour drive and this was the first time we have been able to go. I think I could make the drive by myself now. I would like to go more often. I still have not bought a head stone and that is the next thing I plan to do after I pay the lawyer that is handling the succession for my property. I have my first meeting with him Wednesday.

In answer to Grannysdaughter's comment, I have been crocheting on an afghan in a design that I am creating using several different afghan patterns. I am pleased with the way it is coming together. I have chosen the yarns in colors from the fabric I covered the cushions of my rocker and the pillows from the couch. Also I had to add some red yarn to match the red sheer panels I hung at the living room window. I am really enjoying all the colors in the pattern. Most of the yarn I am using is leftovers from other projects. I only had to buy a few skeins.

Oh, I hope you can take a photo! I'd like to see what you've done combining patterns.
