He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

Next week my new work schedule begins. Monday and wednesday I work eleven hours. Tuesday I work my regular eight hours and thursday I work ten hours. Friday I am off and that means a three day weekend. That is the best part of the situation. When the director asked me if I would be interested, I told her I didn't think I was physically able to do it. I like the idea of three days off of course. She told me to try it and when ever I felt I couldn't work the long hours any more to come to her and they would find another solution. What is happening is that our college girls have some late classes and they can't work the 3-6 shift a couple of days a week. The director asked me to substitute for the girls three days a week. On thursday I can leave at five because all the children in that room get picked up by five.

I will just have to see how my week goes.

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, saying, surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
Hebrew 6:9-15

That sounds like some awfully long work days. I hope it's not too much for you.

Wow, those are long days!

But they are also long days for babies! Do parents really leave their tiny ones for 11 hours a day? Or do you work with different shifts of children over the course of a long day?
