He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

Saturday has come and gone. One more day off and back to work. Next week school starts and I will be back to helping in the other class rooms. My 3's and 4's will be attending preschool and I will only have them before and after school. I really am looking forward to this schedule because I will be helping in the infant room and I will get to play with and rock the babies.

This week felt like it would never be over. Several co-workers remarked that I looked tired. Duh! I looked tired because I was tired. Tired of constantly reminding children of what they are suppose to be doing or how they are suppose to do the same things that they have been doing since June 2nd. Also I was coming down with a summer cold. I found that out saturday morning when I woke up and my nose was completely stopped up. I started taking generic sudafed and added an extra vitamin C to my daily dose.

There is a rumor going around that we will get a raise next month. I hope it will be big enough that I will have a noticeable amount left over after taxes. Everything is going up except my paycheck. Some of the items I always buy have jumped up a whole dollar. The cost of a gallon of gas has come down. I hope it stays down 'cause it is a savings of ten dollars a week and that gives me an extra forty a month.

One morning on my way to work, I spotted a strange looking animal on the road ahead of me. I couldn't tell what it was. I slowed down prepared to brake if it ran in front of the car. As I drove closer the head turned completely around. It was an owl clutching a meal in its claws. After I drove past it spread its wings and flew off into the fading light. A majestic sight indeed.

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
Psalm 40:1-5
