He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

I did a bad thing last night. I am suffering for it today. When I dragged myself home yesterday, I fell into the recliner, turned on the television and escaped to oblivion. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted the giant chocolate kiss I was given for valentine's day. I opened it and proceeded to eat 7 ounces of chocolate, 900 calories, 55 grams of fat, 115 grams of carbohydrates. It was very comforting while it lasted. As I popped the last bit into my mouth, guilt and shame tried to enter my mind. I told myself, what the hey, I will eat veggies for two days and detox. It tasted so good.

This weekend I will be starting a crochet project, one of four baby afghans. Amazingly there are four coworkers expecting. The joke around work is not to drink the water. One coworker is far enough along to know she is having a son. I will be crocheting her baby afghan first. I haven't chosen a pattern yet. Possibly I will use the same one for each afghan. I haven't decided yet.

******************************

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

Isiah 33:15-17

Mrs. P, you should not feel guilty! You deserve a treat once in awhile.
