I went back to work this morning. My ear has cleared up, my stomach was still a little iffy; I brought some pepto bismal with me and toughed the day out. I came home with a cough I didn't have this morning. I have taken my first dose of generic mucinex.

Oh no, poor Mrs. P!
Mrs. P, from what I could tell, Mucinex DM (the DM is important) seems to be an OTC version of the prescription meds that finally killed The Dreaded Cough. I hope the kind you took helps. A cough can take so much energy out of you, just when you really need to rest.
Glad your ear is better. Perhaps your tummy is reacting to the medicine? Hope it is OK.
If nothing else helps, take an antihistamine after dinner and with luck it will knock you out for the night. You might be groggy first thing in the morning, but you'll get some rest.
Got to stay well rested to keep up with those birdlets!
