Two weeks ago a coworker was hospitalized because her legs went numb. The doctors found an inoperable mass around her spine. She was told it isn't cancer. I don't know all the medical terms but she is getting some kind of treatment and therapy and has regained a little use of one leg and feeling in the foot of the other leg. We all have been helping cover her job praying she will be able to come back to work
Since the hurricane I have been over run by tree frogs. They have moved onto my house and car. One evening my son was here and he counted thirty frogs on the front of my house. I have sprayed with insect repellent hoping that soon there will be no food for them and they will leave. They are one of my phobias. My heart does a flip-flop every time I see one.
With the small drop in temperatures I am ready for soups. And of course turning the oven on and doing some baking. I have been looking for new recipes. I like trying new soups. A dessert I like eating and baking is apple crisp. My new favorite fruit crisp recipe is blueberry crisp. I had never thought of using blueberries in a crisp. A coworker brought blueberry crisp to work to share with us and it was delicious. I haven't mastered adding a link to this new blogger thingy or I would share the recipe. It is worth googling if you love blueberries or fruit crisps.

I apologize for taking so long to post. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. Hurricane Isaac just didn't want to leave Louisiana. I was shocked when the remnants of Isaac circled and came back to the Gulf. I think I remember one storm backing off of Louisiana, sitting in the Gulf, restrengthening and coming back on land. I could be wrong; I've been wrong before.
I thought and hoped the hurricane would take these love bugs away from my house and yard. But they were back with a venegeance when the winds died down. I have no idea where the little stinkers weathered the hurricane. I think I would plan a counter attack if I knew their hiding place. They are still just as plentiful.
I didn't receive any damage with this storm but a tree fell on my neighbor's house. He is filing a claim with FEMA because he doesn't have home owner's insurance. He was at home but in another part of the house away from the falling tree.
I didn't get two weeks of 9-5 work hours. The first week we closed three days for the hurricane and the second week we closed for Labor Day. I did enjoy the days I got off at five. My co-worker is suppose to be back to work next week.
My raise is all ready being put to use. My home owner's insurance premium went up because I used it I guess and by raise covers the increase.
