He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

Mom called and said she wanted to read me something printed in the "call and comment" section of the newspaper. She laughed and said I don't think you sent it in but some of it you have said yourself. After hearing it I want to share it.

This is to the parents of the very undisciplined, spoiled and disrespectful kids at our daycares. How dare you raise such bad children for the rest of us to try to spend hours trying to control your failures! I have worked at two daycares in the area and to save my sanity, I gave it up. Are you not watching their terrible behavior? They are hitting teachers, spitting, cussing and a lot more. You are turning our future generations into something very scary! More hands-on discipline is needed. It worked for me and my kids. You know who you are and you people should be ashamed of yourselves for how your children turned out.

It does make me sad to see how some of the children are allowed to behave. As the person said these kids are going to be undisciplined disrespectful adults. But it is not all of them. We get some very respectful children, even toddlers, that are a joy to be around.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

We took dad to the grocery store last saturday morning. It upset me to see he is losing all his strength. He can not get to a standing position even from his lift chair with out help. He will not do the exercises the therapist showed him. When I offer to help him stand, he tells me he can do it. He can't though. I eventually just slip my arm under his and help. But he did agree to using the electric wheel chair at the store. The one at the store has the levers in the handles. The one dad has at home has what we call a joy stick like the electronic games. He has a problem controlling his chair.

Mom had given us a list but dad was picking up a whole lot of extras. He was all over the store. I would be getting something off the store shelf for him and off he would go. Luckily he didn't run over any body. We kept pointing out to him that he needed to think about how much he was getting. He had a blast until the cashier told him how much he owed.

Mom's primary care doctor prescribed an antidepressant medicine for her. She keeps telling us she isn't depressed. But we see her not wanting to do anything. She won't go to visit, she won't go to the store, she won't go out to eat, she doesn't do any thing. She sits in her chair all day. Then she started sleeping in her chair. My sister took her to the doctor and got mom to talk to him. He gave her some questions to answer. I really didn't want her adding any more medicine to cause more side effects to her all ready messed up body. But if it gets her wanting to do things again maybe it just might be a blessing in disguise.

This past week we had a couple of mornings without a heat index. During the day the heat index went back up to 112 but it was a nice break. Of course when cold weather does finally make it here, I will be good and ready to turn on the heaters. But now I want to be cold!

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

This heat is relentless. The heat index gets up to 115 and my old central air unit can't keep the house cool. I have to run a smaller unit that's in my bedroom along with the outside unit along with fans just to keep my sweating to a minimum. I hate to think what the winter is going to be like this year.

Dad had a minor accident on his scooter chair. If there hadn't been railing around the porch, he would have drove off onto the ground. He did peel the skin off the same arm again and had some bruises. I think if it would have a foot pedal instead of a hand control he would do better controlling it. He rarely uses it to get enough practice because he keeps running into things.

Mom's blood work was still good. We are waiting for her kidney function test results. Dad's leg and foot is more twisted because he still does not do his exercises. He can not walk very far even with his walker.

Still no coughing and no cold, but a stomach virus is going around the daycare. I am hoping and praying I don't get sick.

I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
