He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

We are in the last few days of january. Time is going fast again. I am happy to be able to say that I had a yard full of robins today. The hot to cold to hot temperatures have caused the fruit trees and flowering trees and shrubs to blossom. Everything is pretty but I know the cold weather isn't over. The next frost will kill the blooms.

My blood work came back and the cholesterol level was borderline. The doctor told me to start taking cod liver oil pills and of course cut back on the high cholesterol foods.

Mom's primary care doctor referred her to the dermatologist and she has skin cancer on her face that has to be removed. She is having that done wednesday. This past week her ankles stayed swollen. I asked her if she thought she was up on her feet more than usual but she didn't think so. It is a new problem that has to be checked.

We have finally got dad set up for all his doctor care to be done at home through the VA. It was taking two of us to get him in and out of the car whenever he had appointments.

Went back to the doctor to check my blood pressure. The new medicine didn't bring it down. The doctor has doubled the dose and I go back next week to check it again. I borrowed a coworker's blood pressure monitor. I have been checking it and finally today it went down to 129/82. Next week I am having blood work done.

Went to mom and dad's with my sister today. Dad is shrunk to just bones. He is pitiful looking. Mom is having more trouble getting around.

A house I pass every day going to work has come up for sale. This would be a dream come true. If any one has tips on how I could become the proud owner of this house, please share them.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Birdies100 thanks so much for the birthday cake. Being remembered by ya'll makes the new year start off on a happier note.

Happy New Year!

2012 is here. I remember talking about the 21st century when I was in high school. We tried to imagine what our life would be like. I never imagined the electronic lifestyle we can't seem to live without.

Went to the doctor this past week. He changed my blood pressure medicine. Says he wants my blood pressure lower. Another thing he told me was I lost six pounds. I wasn't trying to lose weight. That is a little bonus from my new classroom.
