He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

I am a little behind with blogging. I have been working evenings while I can and getting caught up with my lesson plans when I'm not working.

I was told that my age group will not be going on the field trips this summer. The only one including my group is the one to the water park. It is specially designed for groups and parties so the children will be well supervised by lifeguards. All the other highlights for summer are happening at the daycare. We will have an exercise class every week. The daycare has a movie projector; we will have movie day including popcorn once a month. One of our mother's is a dance instructor and her student's perform a ballet for all our children every summer. The director is offering each child the opportunity to do a cooking demonstration. We will be doing this twice a week.

Next week I get my new group of three and four year olds. I will have seven boys and seven girls. I must say I am looking forward to the new challenge. Two, possibly three, of the group I feel are very immature three year olds. Their behavior and speech are more like a two year olds. During the next couple of months my class will have a lot to do without leaving the daycare, for this I am thankful.

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

We have three reported cases of head lice at the daycare. UGH!!!!! Of course after hearing the dreaded word by scalped itched. I treated my hair as soon as I got home.

Next weekend is a three day weekend 'cause memorial day is one of our paid holidays. I am looking forward to it all ready. I have no plans, I just like the idea of not having to set the alarm clock for three days.

The director bought a commercial size smoothie machine for the daycare. A smoothie is going to be one of the summer treats for the children. The daycare also has a commercial size sno-cone machine we use every summer. Our school age children enjoy these more than the younger ones and I feel that is why the director decided to buy the machines. It gives the older kids something to look forward to.

I talked with my supervisor about the summer field trips that will begin when school is out. I feel they are the hardest part of my job. She says she will see if she can make some changes.

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

Happy Mother's Day!

I was able to get extra work this past week. I worked till six thursday and friday evening; and worked thirty minutes each morning-6:30 to 7-tuesday thru friday and worked 6 to 7 monday morning. That gives me nine extra hours on my paycheck, yea for me!!!!

Gas prices have made it past the $2 mark again. One article I read stated that gas will be around $4 a gallon by june.

I happened to see an infomercial for a cooker that I really would like to add to my collection of small cooking appliances. All the recipes that were shown looked like food I would love to eat. Easy and quick and healthy and inexpensive, all the words I like to hear.

I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

Monday work day over and done with; I had to be there for six a.m. this morning. A coworker had lab work this morning and I subbed for her. This week I will get to work a couple of evenings also; more hours, more dollars, yea!!!!!

There are seven confirmed cases of swine flu in Louisiana. We are doing more hand washing than usual if you can imagine that. We are trying to protect the children and ourselves.

Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered. Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.Malachi 3:14-17
