He Is Faithful That Promised

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Hebrew 10:23

It has been a while since I posted. Nothing has changed, not even the heat index. It has been hot hot hot. I can't believe I am saying it but I am so ready for cold temperatures. State law says we have to take the children out every day. We don't stay out long, but it is long enough for every part of me to get wet. I have a portable fan I take with me but of course the kids want a turn. In all the little fan is a big help.

Tropical depression Alex has got everyone watching the weather channel. I have got my battery fans ready and lots of extra batteries so I can half way breathe when the electricity goes out. Hope this doesn't happen any time soon.

The other day I kept finding these little puddles on the kitchen floor. The first one I just cleaned up without giving it much thought. The second one I cleaned up while thinking maybe it happened while I was drying the dishes I had washed. When I saw the third one I had to look up at the ceiling to see if there was a leak. Then I looked along the bottom of the cabinet to see if maybe there was a leaky pipe. I didn't see any wet spots so the mystery continued. I kept going to the kitchen and looking at floor but I didn't see anything. Then I went to fix me a glass of iced tea and felt something wet and cold on my foot. I had my shoes on so this felt strange and I jumped. I looked but didn't see anything on the floor. Looking around and trying to figure out what happened, I noticed the top of my foot was wet. There wasn't anything on the floor. I still had my glass in one hand and the container of tea in the other. Then I saw that the lid on the container was crooked. I tipped it and sure enough tea leaked out onto the floor. All day when I filled my glass with tea some dribbled onto the floor. I guess this time my foot happened to be in the right spot or I might never have solved the mystery of the puddles.

God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

Time has been passing too quickly. Changes are coming at a rapid pace. Tuesday I turned onto my road after work and thought I was on the wrong road. I stopped and looked around and recognized the house on my right. I realized that I was seeing blue sky where the day before on the left side of the road all that was visible was trees. I have lived here thirty two years and it is disorienting coming down my road now. Every time I go out my door I feel strange and get butterflies in my stomach. Just two weeks ago I had woods as far as I could see all along the left side of the road. Now it is clear cut and all I see is ground and sky. I haven't learnt what is going to be built across the road.

It has been extremely hot this past week. Tomorrow it is suppose to get up to 100. The heat index was as high as 120 last week. This is only june, what is going to happen the rest of the summer?
